In order to meet demanding standards of responsible waste management, Oxigen seeks shared responsibility and cooperation from all its partners and allies and collectively reduce the environmental impact of the e-waste of these products.
While doing so, Oxigen complies with all the applicable laws related to e-waste management. Our ideology is supported by policy, as well the legislation passed by the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) called E-waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2011, which came into effect from 1st May 2012. As part of our e-waste recycling initiative, Oxigen has authorized an e-waste company, named HAYAT E-RECYCLERS PVT. LTD, to collect, dismantle and dispose e-waste - collected from our office. The vision is to look at e-waste not just as waste, but as an important resource that can be made useful - instead of shunning it as a social and environmental burden with their fully automated facility for e-waste recycling.
Usable but aged electronic devices, computers and such, are also donated to schools & NGO’s working in the rural landscape of India through our CSR company Sahyog Foundation and Sachin Tendulkar’s NGO.
